It's rather a long way to Halifax. Uneventful flight to Toronto. Very little time in the Toronto airport before we had to catch our flight to Halifax. Raced to the bathroom and to a pricey airport shop to get a sandwich. Uneventful flight to Halifax. Watched The Soloist onboard. Good. I've wanted to see it. Air Canada is so cheap, they don't even give you a cookie anymore with your coffee.
Low and behold, there was Mum in Halifax, sitting at the Budget rent-a-car booth. Amazing. Filled out all the paperwork. Never even did a cross check on the car. Weird. We've got a brand new bad-assed Dodge Caravan (1700 kms). The key doesn't even look like a key, but I did figure out the cup holders. Ian took the co-pilot seat and elected to navigate. We found our way to Mount St. Vincent University with only one wrong turn (quickly corrected). We're staying in a student dorm.
Starving, we headed out to find supper. "Jim's Family Seafood" was close by and seemed appealing. But... a little gross. The frying grease needed changing. I ordered a small plate of clams and got a dinner plate heaped with them. Yikes. How many would have made a large? Two dinner plates?
querem ser my brother?
